Praise God!

I just wanted to start off by thanking those who have supported me in order that they may take part in this life changing experience with me. I have now raised about $2,000! It is so wonderful seeing people donating so generously. There are about 24 more days till I depart so it is going to be exciting seeing how God will bring in the rest of the support, $3,500. Lately I have been noticing that God's timing is a lot different then my "ideal" timing. I would have loved it if all the letters I sent out came back with money and the support goal of $5,500 would be reached with plenty of time to spare. Obviously this is not the case. However, the more I think about it, the more I am glad that my "ideal situation" hasn't come true. I feel as if God is just waiting to blow my mind away. I feel strongly that I am meant to go on this trip and if that is the case, God will provide. I will try and keep this blog as updated as possible for everyone to see my progress and also see what everyone can be praying for. I can't stress it enough that prayer is going to be the foundation of this summer project. I will need prayers for patience, finances, preparedness, prayers for the students in Senegal I will be speaking with, and prayer that I will be filled with boldness to do things that I might not necessarily want to do but things that God truly wants me to carry out. Thank you everyone so much for everything and I truly appreciate what you all (ya'll) have done for me!
Another thing, this is my first blog so bare with me as I try to figure out how to use it!
